Dr. M. Gregory Tenn graduated in 1998 from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, MO and established a practice in Bellevue, WA, the original focus of which was pain relief and musculoskeletal care.
He quickly recognized the need for total body wellness in order to achieve lasting results of optimum health and fitness during all stages in life and has spent the last decade learning, practicing and developing his techniques and treatment protocols.
He has had the opportunity to work side-by-side and train with some of today’s biggest leaders in the fields of Chiropractic and Sports Medicine including Dr. Peter Fernandez, Dr. C.J. Mertz, Dr. Charles Ward, Dr. Tedd Koren, Dr. Art Croft, Vern Gambetta, Apex Fitness, 24-Hour Fitness, The Pro Club, Bellevue and more.
Dr. Tenn has recently relocated to the beautiful and friendly Southern Birmingham, Alabama area where he is currently engaged in building a new Chiropractic health center.
Dr. Tenn was first introduced to chiropractic in 1987 after he had suffered chronic headaches, neck pain and stiffness for several years as a result of motor vehicle accidents. With chiropractic care he was able to regain full motion in his neck without pain, and soon thereafter his daily headaches became an occasional thing. Pain killers were no longer a daily necessity.
This sparked his eager educational pursuit for natural healing from pain relief.
As Dr. Tenn began to practice he used his education and clinical experience to deal with a constant chronic low back pain and stiffness that he had suffered ever since he injured his back at 14 years old.
X-rays showed it had progressed to the point that he now had a paper thin disc in his low back and it took at least ten painful minutes for him to be able to stand up straight from being seated in a chair. It was a major effort to will himself through the pain, propping his hands on his knees or on any supportive surface in order to help him straighten out. It interfered with his daily activities and nothing he had tried up until then had offered any significant or lasting relief.
However, Chiropractic proved once again that it works!
Medication only masked the problem and since surgery is a permanent, majorly invasive procedure and can be extremely painful, followed by a long term recovery resulting in only a 50/50 success rate, this was not an option.
With continuous Chiropractic Care his most recent x-ray exam showed a healthy disc where it was once degenerating, and his low back pain and stiffness is now under control with only the occasional spasm which is relieved with a maintenance program of exercise and an occasional adjustment from one of his peers.
The success he experienced in the healing of his own chronic back pain and stiffness with traditional natural chiropractic care became the foundation for his treatment protocols for managing and eliminating pain and stiffness. It also gave him intimate understanding and insight into his patients’ most pressing need to be mobile and pain free to resume their lifestyles. |
